Designed by architect Jacques Couêlles, the infamous protegé of Gaudi. The appartment is 35 minutes drive from Nice airport which is served by BA, Easyjet, bmi and other airlines from the UK. For private flights Cannes Mandelieu Airport is 10 minutes away. Contact our car service to arrange your pick you up from the airport or to take you to the Cannes Palais du Festival in 20 minutes. Travel in style by luxury Riva motorboat, it’s only 10 minutes to Cannes.
Appartment details
Brise de Mer is an elegantly furnished appartment with a private terrace (a few steps up from ground level) and a fabulous sea view. The circular shaped living room has a spacious, comfortable seating area, fireplace (not much used!), satellite TV with DVD player, stereo
and a library of books and DVDs. There is also a dining table and chairs. French doors lead from the living room to the large private terrace
with outdoor dining furniture and seaviews. The separate kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher
and all the utensils you’d need for elaborate cooking. On the same level is a double (fourposter) bedroom and a shower room/WC designed in the spirit of Gaudi.
The bedroom also has access to the terrace and sea views. A spiral staircase leads down to a twin bedroom with a seating area and its own bathroom/WC. Also on this lower level the appartment has a small laundry room. Equipment - plug conversion gadgets and hairdryers - are provided. As well as the TV with satellite facilities there is a DVD player with a wide range of DVDs and a CD player supplied. Files of information on local attractions and activities are there together with local maps and guidebooks. Linen-sheets, duvet covers, duvets, pillowcases, towels.
The setting
Port la Galère is a sophisticated domaine set across from the baie of Cannes and facing the famous Lérins islands, both only minutes away by car or motorcruiser, on the Corniche d’Or and situated on the seafront itself. Consisting of uniquely curved appartments all with seaviews and set in nearly 60 acres of lush tropical gardens with a private port, 16 room boutique hotel, bar, sauna and gym, tennis courts and pivate beaches and swimming pools with 24 hour security.
There are tennis courts, a fitness centre, 3 private (rocky) beaches, 2 swimming pools (one heated in winter), a marina, an elegant bar and two excellent restaurants, all in the atmosphere and style of a private club. The boutique club hotel also has 16 suites.
Transportaion
We can arrange transport by car or Riva motorcruiser (up to 11 passengers and suitcases) direct to Cannes Palais du Festival. We can also pick up from the airport directly.
